Samsung has briefly halted its chip manufacturing at its Austin, Texas services, because of the energy outages within the state after Winter Storm Uri. The storm reportedly left some 200,000 Texans with out energy.
Samsung was requested to tug energy at its semiconductor plant by Austin Power energy utility and because of the discover was in a position to take measures in order to not harm the tens of 1000’s of silicone wafers which are being manufactured within the plant. An unplanned energy outage can lead to hundreds of thousands in damages.
